Why I chose Fashion Entrepreneurship

"A summer's tale"(1991)

When I was a child, my grandpa was a painter and my grandma was a photographer, I always spent time with them and they made me interested in art and the fashion industry. During that time, my dream is to be a clothes designer in the future and I really want to design some clothes for myself.

After I grow up, my learning and living experience in Shanghai and Taipei got me in touch with vintage clothes culture, vintage clothes always have a unique style and fabric, it fascinates me. My aesthetic methods also changed a lot during my uni time. I watched lots of movies from different time periods, every time period has its own fashion style and I tried to make some different time period short movies myself, these got me interested in fashion and to learn more about fashion and fashion history. Last semester, I had a course talking about fashion films, I enjoyed it and it made me want to know more about fashion and get a job in fashion industry.

My further goal of fashion entrepreneurship is running a half café and half clothes (vintage and handmade) shop by myself, I hope this store can be a two level store and the first level is café, second level is clothes shop. I hope this dream can come true.
